SUBMIT A LETTER TO THE EDITOR

The Phoenix welcomes Letters to the Editor and Op-Ed submissions for the Discourse section from the greater Loyola community.

Letters are typically around 200 words and do not include anonymous letters, poems, or fictional work. Letters generally respond to articles, columns, and editorials published in The Phoenix.

The Phoenix also welcomes Op-Ed submission for the Discourse section. Columns are typically around 500 words or fewer. Op-Eds are selected to provide a wide spectrum of opinions and views on topics of interest to the Loyola community.

The Phoenix reserves the right to reject letters and columns and edit for clarity, brevity, accuracy, and to prevent libel. The Phoenix also reserves the right to write headlines and choose illustrations to accompany pieces submitted to the newspaper.

Submissions must have the author’s full name and should include:
- The author's year in school (or position in/connection to Loyola University),
- Major (if applicable) and
- A form of contact (e-mail address and phone number).

Letters and columns can be submitted online on this page, by e-mail to phoenixdiscourse@luc.edu, in person or by mail to: Editor, The Loyola Phoenix, 6525 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, IL 60626.

The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on the Friday prior to the scheduled Wednesday publication.
