More Gnocchi, Less Problems

I don't often make overgeneralizations that would turn Nonni, my fake Italian grandmother, over in her grave, but here we go: Making gnocchi isn't too difficult. I'm sure there's a pasta purist out the somewhere with an intense fever right now, but it's true. I actually have a love/hate relationship with Italian food. No one in my family hails from the boot, but we constantly ate Italian-ish food when I was little. I probably had a variation of noodles or pasta at least four times a week, ranging from alfredo to lasagna, with every kind of topping in between. I even went through a phase when I refused to eat anything but alfredo sauce on noodles (which was, in retrospect, the worst phase of my life). You Say Potato, I Say It's Finals Week

It's finals week, which either means one of two things for you: You're breaking out over the stress just the thought those exams bring, or you're studying. I myself prefer whining about how hectic my last week as a first semester senior is (how did that happen?!) and then StumblingUpon new recipes for pie. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Actually, I usually have more papers to write and projects to finish than I do Scantron sheets, so this means everything else in my life gets shoved aside in favor for quality visits to the IC. There's no time for slow-cooking curries, no zeal for roasting vegetables, and no room for MixMastering your favorite desserts--at least not in the stacks. So my favorite go-to snack/side/whatever in these times of need is something... 2 comments
