Chicago Police Marine Unit have discovered a body in Lake Michigan rocks outside Loyola University Chicago's Information Commons.

A student discovered the body and notified Loyola Campus Safety around 11:30 a.m., according to Campus Safety.

The body was a man in his 30s, according to CPD News Affairs.

Loyola probably doesn't know anything more about it...patience is the key.

ridiculous that the school doesn't tell us anything about it, you think MOST people would think a dead body on campus is important.

I wish we had a little bit more information. I think Loyola students deserve to know more information about the body. But no, Loyola likes to keep everything hush hush, and I think we should have an update.

There are rocks outside of the library. The man was literally found on them. This is not a backhanded pun; the editors are a lot more sensitive and a lot less clever than you are making them out to be.

According to a report on CBS 2 Chicago, the body (badly decomposed) was a man in his 30s.

It is not an alcohol reference. The body was literally found on the rocks outside the IC. That phrasing is the simplest, most accurate way to state what is currently known, and there is no reference to alcohol in the entire article. Get over yourselves.

The IC staff (I think managers) were so hypocritical. They ran all over the building closing blinds and trying to keep students from looking outside, but then they stood together in a corner looking out and gawking and laughing like it was some kind of entertainment. One lady was even eating her lunch while she was watching. I think they even went upstairs to see if they could get a better look. All while telling us to stay away from the windows. I mean, this poor person could have been a professor or someone. I didn't think it was something to laugh or stare at.

Nobody knows yet what exactly happened - whether it was homicide, or whether or not the guy even got drunk
Grow up people, seriously

this article is short b/c the press doesn't know anything more. and obviously, they can't say it's a homicide within 6 hours of finding the body. jeez, people.

Such a terrible thing.... I think Loyola students need to remember that this could be someone's father, brother, husband, uncle...etc. Even though it is a shock and extremely unusual, it is still a death that will affect someone out there and we need to be respectful of that.

Christina- The body was found on the rocks...no alcoholic pun is meant to be intended. The body was found under the rocks on the lakefront.

I myself am an old man. Margaritas on the rocks are fine, but it gives me the heeby jeebies to think of bodies on the rocks.
